Lexus has reintroduced its ES 350e model to the United Kingdom market with the latest eighth-generation version now offered as a fully electric vehicle. The 2026 Lexus ES 350e represents a significant shift from the previous hybrid iteration, marking the brand’s renewed focus on electric luxury sedans amid a market increasingly dominated by SUVs.

The new ES 350e is powered by a 77kWh lithium-ion battery pack that delivers 221 horsepower. The sedan is capable of accelerating from 0 to 62 mph in eight seconds and has a stated top speed of 99 mph. With a driving range of approximately 357 miles on a full charge in the Premium Plus trim, the model aims to combine both performance and efficiency for daily commuting and longer trips. Charging times are estimated at 28 minutes using a DC fast charger and up to 10 hours with a standard wallbox charger.

Designed as a long coupe-like sedan, the ES 350e incorporates distinctive luxury touches such as bamboo finishes on the door panels, which are highlighted by ambient lighting. The interior offers a range of comfort features, including heated and ventilated front seats as standard. Higher-spec Takumi trim levels add heated, ventilated rear seats with massage functions and reclining ottoman footrests for enhanced passenger comfort.

Technological enhancements include a driver-focused instrument binnacle positioned behind the steering wheel to maximize visibility, augmented by a head-up display. A 14-inch multimedia touchscreen integrates Lexus Connect software, enabling seamless interaction with the vehicle’s driver assistance systems. Additionally, the system supports Google Maps for navigation. The vehicle also offers climate pre-conditioning, allowing drivers to adjust cabin temperature remotely.

Lexus is emphasizing the ES 350e’s smooth, quiet driving experience combined with refined handling and advanced technology as key selling points, distinguishing it from the prevalent SUV market segment. The new model is backed by a three-year or 60,000-mile warranty and is priced starting at £68,245 for the Premium Plus trim.

The return of the Lexus ES to the UK as a fully electric offering marks an important step in the brand’s electrification strategy and caters to consumers looking for a high-quality, technologically advanced luxury sedan with zero tailpipe emissions.
