Abu Dhabi authorities have launched a new initiative aimed at equipping children and teenagers with essential life skills. The Life Skills Programme, targeting youths aged seven to 18, is set to run until the end of the year across Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, and Al Dhafra.

Organised by the Family Care Authority (FCA) in partnership with the Ministry of Education, the programme seeks to enhance the personal and social competencies of young participants through a series of interactive workshops. The curriculum includes eight distinct training modules designed to cover a broad spectrum of practical skills.

Workshops will address topics such as understanding rights and responsibilities, assertive communication, and systematic thinking. Participants will also receive guidance on financial literacy, including banking services, alongside sessions focused on public speaking and conflict resolution. Additional components aim to help children manage feelings of frustration and promote awareness of online safety practices.

By providing these comprehensive training opportunities, the programme intends to support the development of well-rounded individuals capable of navigating various social, emotional, and practical challenges. Local officials emphasise the importance of early intervention in cultivating these skills to prepare young residents for future personal and professional endeavors.
