Blue Bolt aims to continue an unbeaten streak in the Group One BetMGM Sun Chariot Stakes at Newmarket on Saturday, seeking a sixth consecutive victory this season. Trained by Andrew Balding, the mare has been a standout performer throughout 2026, following a second-place finish behind Fallen Angel at the same meeting last year. Since then, Blue Bolt has won all five starts, including three Group One races, with a particularly commanding performance in the Matron Stakes at Leopardstown last month.

In addition to Blue Bolt’s challenge, the Tattersalls October Auction Stakes, valued at £200,000, features the promising juvenile Night In Vegas. Trained by Eve Johnson Houghton, Night In Vegas has already secured wins in notable sales races at the July course and Doncaster. With only a light racing campaign so far and strong placings in Listed events, the colt is considered a leading contender at 1:00 p.m.

The John Guest Racing Bengough Stakes at 3:00 p.m. presents an opportunity for Hidden Force, a Frankel colt who has not raced since April. Following a breathing operation, Hidden Force is expected to return in strong form, having posted victories earlier in the season.

Other runners poised for success include So Regal in the BetMGM British EBF October Stakes at 1:15 p.m., trained by the Gosdens and ridden by jockey Loughnane. Fluorescence and River King, competing at 1:50 p.m. and 3:35 p.m. respectively, are also highlighted as contenders at Ascot.

At Redcar, the Listed William Hill Two Year Old Trophy is shaping up to favor Satellite of Love, while Sondad is the selection for the Guisborough Stakes at 3:55 p.m. under jockey Joanne Mason.

The day’s races promise a competitive card across several key fixtures, with notable horses and trainers aiming to make significant impacts in the late-season events.
