The BBC’s popular crime series Line of Duty is set to launch an immersive experience titled Line of Duty: Operation Echo in London early next year. The interactive event is scheduled to coincide with the release of the show’s seventh season and will offer fans the opportunity to engage directly with the investigative process in a real-world setting.

Designed for teams of up to eight participants, Operation Echo will take players to various locations across London, where they will encounter a series of puzzles, riddles, and ethical decisions. Participants will examine a range of evidence types, including CCTV footage, fingerprints, forensic reports, and diary entries, to piece together the details of a complex criminal case.

According to a spokesperson for the project, the challenge extends beyond gathering evidence. Players must also make strategic decisions about whom to trust, how to direct their investigations, and the lengths they are prepared to go to in pursuit of justice. At the conclusion of the experience, teams receive a score that places them on a leaderboard, identifying their performance as either “Super Sleuths” or “Reckless Mavericks.”
