Liwan Design Studios and Labs, in collaboration with the Qatar Tennis Federation (QTF), have announced the opening of submissions for the second edition of the Qatar ExxonMobil Open Poster Design Competition. Following the success of the inaugural competition in 2024, this year’s contest invites designers, illustrators, artists, photographers, and digital creatives based in Qatar to create the official poster for the upcoming men’s tournament scheduled for February 2027.

The competition aims to engage both emerging and established creatives, including individual artists and collaborative teams, offering a platform to shape the visual identity of one of the Middle East’s premier international sporting events. The winning design will feature prominently across a wide range of promotional materials, including digital, print, and on-site displays during the tournament.

As part of Qatar Museums’ network of Creative Hubs, Liwan Design Studios and Labs plays a key role in supporting artistic talent and encouraging innovation within the country’s creative and cultural sectors. Through initiatives like this competition, it seeks to strengthen the local arts community and enhance Qatar’s presence in global cultural and sporting arenas.

Submissions are due by August 10, and entries will be reviewed by a panel of experts from the fields of design, art, and sport. The evaluation criteria include originality, artistic quality, conceptual strength, relevance to the tournament, and the adaptability of the design across multiple platforms.

The winner will receive a cash prize of QR15,000 along with a one-year membership to Liwan Design Studios and Labs, providing further opportunities for professional development and creative collaboration.

The Qatar ExxonMobil Open is an ATP 500 tennis event held annually in Doha, drawing top international tennis players to compete. The tournament is recognized as a significant fixture on the professional men’s tennis circuit, enhancing Qatar’s status as a host of major sporting events in the region.
