Liz Cho, the ABC “Eyewitness News” anchor, has been ordered to provide six years’ worth of private text messages to her ex-husband, former CBS anchor Josh Elliott, amid their ongoing divorce proceedings. The decision follows a virtual hearing held on July 24, during which Cho agreed to submit all cellphone communications related to any alleged extramarital relationships, despite initially resisting the request.
The court directive came after Elliott consented to Cho’s parallel demand that he produce all messages exchanged with any purported sexual partners outside their marriage. Both parties have not presented any evidence substantiating claims of infidelity.
Elliott initiated the divorce process on June 20, 2025, after nearly ten years of marriage. The exchange of digital communications is part of the broader discovery phase in the couple’s dispute as they seek to resolve their separation.
