Former Manchester United striker Louis Saha has suggested that centre-back Harry Maguire might consider leaving Old Trafford as he enters the later stage of his career. Maguire, 33, signed a one-year contract extension with the option of a further season in April. Despite facing challenges under former manager Ruben Amorim, the defender played a crucial role for Michael Carrick in helping the club secure a return to the UEFA Champions League.

Saha, 47, expressed that while Maguire still has the potential to contribute significantly to Manchester United, exploring a new challenge could be a viable option as he approaches the twilight of his playing days. “It’s time to consider if Harry Maguire should move on,” Saha said. “I can still see him having a massive role. But looking for another challenge at the end of his career is something I can imagine as well.”

Maguire’s performance has been marked by periods of struggle, particularly under Amorim’s management, but his influence under Carrick was seen as instrumental to the team’s recent success. The former France international’s comments underscore the broader question facing the club and the player regarding his future involvement at Old Trafford. As Maguire continues his contract, speculation around a possible transfer or career move may intensify in the coming months.
