Lim Seong Hai Capital Bhd (LSH Capital) officially began trading on the Main Market of Bursa Malaysia on October 8, 2026, marking a significant milestone in its growth trajectory. The construction group has outlined ambitious plans to substantially increase its market capitalisation in the coming years, aiming to reach RM10 billion within the next decade.

Chairman Tan Sri Lim Keng Cheng expressed confidence in the company’s prospects under its Main Market listing, highlighting upcoming expansion efforts targeting both private and public sector projects. Speaking to reporters after the listing ceremony, which was attended by Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof, who also serves as Energy Transition and Water Transformation Minister, Lim emphasized the importance of leveraging the company’s internal design framework to secure new contracts. These initiatives include a range of highway developments and public infrastructure funding projects.

LSH Capital’s rise reflects a carefully staged growth strategy that saw the company transition through all three Bursa Malaysia boards in just over five years. Initially listed on the LEAP Market in July 2021 with a market value of RM46.2 million, the group moved to the ACE Market in March 2025. Following approval in early October 2026, it was fast-tracked onto the Main Market, meeting key requirements such as maintaining a daily market capitalisation of at least RM1 billion over six months, demonstrating a consistent profit record, and maintaining strong financial fundamentals. By the time of its Main Market debut, LSH Capital’s market capitalisation had expanded to more than RM1.5 billion.

Lim outlined that the company’s growth model continues to build on the strategy used during its LEAP Market tenure, when initial targets of RM50 million were subsequently raised to RM1 billion over a 10-year horizon. The chairman indicated that this formula would be similarly applied as the company pursues its more aggressive ambitions on the Main Market.

Datuk Fad’l Mohamed, chief executive officer of Bursa Malaysia, noted LSH Capital’s advancement as an example of the effective support structures within Malaysia’s capital markets. “LSH Capital’s journey from LEAP to ACE, and now to the Main Market, reflects the different stages of growth companies go through,” he said. Fad’l underscored the importance of maintaining accessible pathways for other companies aiming to scale their operations and listings, reinforcing the exchange’s dedication to evolving regulatory and ecosystem frameworks.

On its first day of trading on the Main Market, LSH Capital’s stock opened at RM1.78, slightly above its previous close of RM1.75, and reached an intraday high of RM1.80 before closing at that level. The trading volumes were relatively light, but the closing price corresponded to a market capitalisation of roughly RM1.5 billion.
