Suzhou Dongshan Precision Manufacturing, a mainland China-based manufacturer of printed circuit boards (PCBs) and other electronic components, has secured final approval to list its shares on the Hong Kong stock exchange, moving forward with an initial public offering (IPO) expected to rank among the city’s largest in the fourth quarter.
The Shenzhen-listed company recently passed its listing hearing with Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing (HKEX), clearing a critical regulatory step ahead of the share sale. Suzhou Dongshan Precision also announced that it has received authorization from the China Securities Regulatory Commission to issue up to 234 million new shares in Hong Kong. The company produces a range of products including PCBs, optical transceivers, precision components, touch panels, and liquid crystal modules, which are used across smartphones, personal computers, automotive systems, industrial equipment, and Internet of Things devices.
Sources familiar with the matter indicated that the IPO had initially targeted an order book opening as early as October, aiming to raise approximately US$3 billion. However, the timeline may be adjusted slightly, with the listing still anticipated to take place before year-end. Exact details regarding the size and timing of the offering remain subject to change as the process moves forward.
Despite a significant correction from its peak price, where shares dropped nearly 40 percent, Dongshan Precision’s stock has experienced substantial growth since the beginning of 2024. The shares reached an all-time high of 208.08 yuan in July, translating to a market capitalization near 308 billion yuan (approximately HK$360.4 billion).
Hong Kong’s IPO market has seen robust activity this year, with initial public offerings raising over HK$380 billion in the first nine months of 2026, surpassing the total for all of 2025. Much of this fundraising has involved companies already listed in mainland China seeking secondary listings in Hong Kong. Industry analysts project that several more IPOs could exceed HK$10 billion in funds raised during the final quarter.
Suzhou Dongshan Precision’s upcoming Hong Kong listing is poised to be a major event in the city’s market calendar, highlighting sustained investor interest in the technology and electronics manufacturing sectors amid a broader wave of large mainland company listings.
