Malabar Gold & Diamonds has expanded its retail footprint in Qatar with the opening of its 13th showroom at Safari Mall, Abu Hamour, alongside the unveiling of a renovated outlet at Al Watan Centre. These developments mark a significant reinforcement of the jewellery retailer’s presence in the Gulf region.
The Safari Mall location was officially inaugurated by Sheikh Hamad Nasser A Al-Thani, in the presence of senior executives from Malabar Gold & Diamonds, including managing director (International Operations) Shamlal Ahmed, director (Finance & Administration) Ameer CMC, regional head Santhosh TV, zonal head Naufal Thadathil, head of merchandising Sakkeer P, and Zainul Abideen, deputy chairman and managing director of Safari Group of Companies. The reopening of the Al Watan Centre showroom was conducted by Sheikh Abdulla, accompanied by Malabar Gold & Diamonds officials such as Ahamed, Ameer Jabbar, Santhosh, Thadathil, Sakkeer, and branch head Raju T Johny.
The newly launched showroom at Safari Mall offers an extensive collection of gold, diamond, and precious gemstone jewellery, emphasizing exclusivity and variety tailored to a broad spectrum of customer preferences and occasions. The showroom is designed to deliver a high-quality retail experience through sophisticated interiors, improved customer service, and a seamless shopping environment, reflecting the company’s commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.
Meanwhile, the Al Watan Centre outlet, originally established in 2011, has undergone a comprehensive refurbishment. The upgraded facility incorporates modern design features and enhanced amenities aimed at providing a more comfortable and engaging experience for shoppers.
Speaking at the event, Shamlal Ahmed highlighted Qatar’s importance in the company’s growth strategy within the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC). He noted that since entering the Qatari market in 2011, Malabar Gold & Diamonds has benefited from strong customer trust and support. "Today, as we open our 13th showroom at Safari Mall and unveil the renovated Al Watan Centre showroom, we are reaffirming our long-term commitment to this dynamic market," Ahmed said.
