KUWAIT CITY — A Kuwaiti man reported the theft of his iPhone 14 while at Al-Sabah Hospital, authorities confirmed on August 29. The complainant said he noticed the phone was missing during his time in the hospital’s observation room and accused another individual, also believed to be Kuwaiti, who was present in the same room, of taking the device.

Concerned that the stolen phone could be taken out of the country and reactivated, the victim emphasized the risk of unauthorized access to his personal data, including photos and other sensitive information stored on the device.

Following the complaint, a theft case was officially registered and referred to the Criminal Investigation Department. Investigators are preparing to summon the suspected individual as part of ongoing legal proceedings.

A security official noted that advances in technology have improved the ability to track stolen mobile phones, identify users, and support law enforcement efforts in swiftly locating suspects and recovering stolen property. The investigation remains active as authorities work to resolve the case.
