A 16-year-old boy died and another teenager was seriously injured following a car crash in Birmingham on Saturday. West Midlands Police reported that a white Seat Ibiza collided with railings during the incident. The 16-year-old passenger was pronounced dead at the scene.

A second passenger, also a teenager, sustained a serious arm injury and was transported to a hospital for treatment. A 19-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of causing death and serious injury by dangerous driving, as well as failing to provide a breath specimen. He remains in police custody for questioning as the investigation continues.
