A 60-year-old man from Parsons Green, west London, has been charged in connection with a series of parcel thefts in the area. Ronald De Steven St Aubin was arrested on Monday and faces four counts of theft. He has been remanded in custody pending a plea and trial preparation hearing scheduled for October 7 at Isleworth Crown Court.
The investigation by the Metropolitan Police began in July following multiple reports of parcels being stolen from doorsteps on St Maur Road. Last month, residents shared video footage with police that appeared to show a man removing parcels from their porches, but authorities indicated the inquiry was ongoing at that time.
The charges against St Aubin mark a significant development in the case, which has drawn local concern amid a broader rise in doorstep thefts. The police have not disclosed further details about the evidence or the investigation but continue to appeal for anyone with information to come forward.
