A Kuwaiti man was detained on Thursday following an altercation with two detectives at Kuwait International Airport. The incident took place when officers from the airport’s Criminal Investigation Department intervened after the individual was observed repeatedly visiting the airport and approaching incoming passengers to offer taxi services.
Security sources indicated the situation escalated from a verbal dispute to a physical confrontation, during which the man assaulted the two detectives. Airport security personnel quickly responded, restraining the suspect and transferring him to Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh Police Station.
An investigator at the police station ordered the man’s detention pending further investigation and potential legal proceedings. Authorities have not released additional details regarding the circumstances leading to the incident or the suspect’s motivations.
