A 22-year-old man escaped custody outside Liverpool Magistrates Court on the morning of August 1. Stephen Grzyb fled on foot from a transport van at approximately 10 a.m. while being moved by GeoAmey, a contractor responsible for prisoner transportation.
Grzyb, who is from east Liverpool, faces charges related to a domestic burglary. Merseyside Police described him as a white male with short, dark hair, wearing a navy T-shirt and shorts at the time of his escape.
Following the incident, officers have visited the home of the alleged victim as part of their ongoing investigation. Inspector Bethan Hannon has issued an appeal for the public to come forward with any information that might assist in locating Grzyb. A search is currently underway to apprehend him.
