Michael Corr, 49, of Downfine Gardens near the Monagh ByPass in Belfast, has pleaded guilty to making a hoax bomb call to the Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI). The admission was made during a brief arraignment at Belfast Crown Court.

Corr is accused of contacting a PSNI call handler on March 13, 2023, to provide false information claiming a bomb was located in the Glenbawn area of west Belfast. In addition to this charge, he faces allegations of making threats to kill directed at men and women during a 999 emergency call on August 14, 2024.

Following the hearing, Corr was granted bail, and the case is scheduled to return to court on September 25 for further proceedings.
