A 34-year-old man was repeatedly stabbed Monday afternoon outside a New York City Housing Authority complex in Brooklyn, authorities reported. The assault occurred shortly after 2 p.m. near the Bayview Houses on Shore Parkway close to Rockaway Parkway in the Canarsie neighborhood.
According to law enforcement officials, the victim sustained multiple stab wounds to the chest, back, and stomach. Emergency medical personnel transported him to Brookdale Medical Center, where he is currently expected to survive.
Officials at the scene documented a trail of blood extending about a block, which culminated at a vehicle with visible blood splatter on its hood and grille. A law enforcement source indicated that the victim has declined to cooperate with investigators.
As of now, no arrests have been made in connection with the stabbing. The investigation remains ongoing.
