Jacob Morley, a 28-year-old inmate serving a life sentence for the killing of a co-worker four years ago, escaped from the Northwest Correctional Complex in Tiptonville, Tennessee, authorities reported. The Tennessee Department of Correction confirmed that Morley was discovered missing around 11:30 p.m. on Sunday.

Security camera footage reviewed by investigators showed Morley fleeing the prison while dressed in his standard prison uniform. Officials have not disclosed the specific method Morley used to get through the fence surrounding the facility. The Northwest Correctional Complex is located approximately 90 miles north of Memphis, in a remote area near the Mississippi River close to the Missouri border.

Law enforcement agencies in the region have intensified their search efforts, focusing on buildings and surrounding rural areas near the prison. Officials have also offered a reward of up to $2,500 for information leading to Morley’s capture.

Morley is described as 5 feet 11 inches tall, weighing about 240 pounds, with brown hair and green eyes. Authorities continue to urge the public to report any sightings or relevant information to assist in the ongoing search.
