A man in his 50s sustained significant injuries following an assault at a bar in Tynemouth earlier this month. The incident occurred around 1 a.m. on Sunday, August 2, at the Barca bar located on Front Street. According to police reports, the victim was punched multiple times by an unknown assailant, resulting in a broken nose, swelling to his face, and a cut to his eyebrow that required stitches.

Northumbria Police have launched an investigation into the incident and are seeking assistance from the public. Authorities have released CCTV images of a man who was present in the area at the time of the assault and who may have information relevant to the case. Police are encouraging anyone who recognizes the individual or has any related information to come forward.
