Beckenham Town are seeking a new manager after Adrian Griffin resigned following a challenging start to the 2026-27 season. Griffin stepped down in the wake of a 5-1 home defeat to Petts Wood & Holmesdale, which left the club 17th in the Southern Counties East League Premier Division. The team had amassed only eight points from 11 matches as they aim to secure an immediate return to Step 4 after their relegation last year.

Griffin had been appointed in June, taking over from Del Oldfield. He began his tenure with promise, recording three consecutive victories. However, the positive momentum soon waned, and the club went on a run of eight matches without a win, including seven successive losses leading up to his departure.

In a statement posted on social media platform X, Griffin said he had made the decision after careful consideration. He expressed gratitude toward the players and extended his best wishes to the club for the future. Beckenham Town now face the task of identifying a new manager capable of reversing their fortunes in what remains a competitive league.
