Manchester City and England goalkeeper Joe Hart returned to the United Arab Emirates this week, engaging with fans and young players at several venues across Abu Dhabi and Dubai. The former England international, who represented his country 75 times and spent 12 years at Manchester City, took part in events connected to City Football Schools (CFS) as the program celebrated its 15th anniversary in the UAE.
Hart visited the PUMA Manchester City Stores at Yas Mall in Abu Dhabi and Dubai Mall, where he met supporters. He also participated in a training session organized by City Football Schools in Masdar City, interacting with aspiring goalkeepers and youth players.
Reflecting on his visit, Hart noted his positive memories of the club’s previous training camps in Abu Dhabi. “I’ve been lucky enough to visit the UAE several times and have fond memories of City’s training camps in Abu Dhabi, so it was brilliant to be back,” he said. Highlighting the progress in coaching techniques, Hart added that witnessing young players enjoying advanced training methods was rewarding. “Training with City’s methods from an early age gives them the opportunity to both enjoy the game and reach their full potential,” he remarked.
Since retiring from professional football in 2024, Hart has transitioned into a career in sports punditry. His visit underscores ongoing engagement between Manchester City’s global football development programs and the UAE’s sporting community.
