Manchester City have secured the signing of Brazilian winger Allan Elias from Palmeiras on a five-year contract. The 22-year-old joined the English club following a promising start to his professional career with the Brazilian side.

Allan, a product of Palmeiras’ youth academy, made his senior debut in January 2025. He quickly established himself as a key player, scoring his first goal just a month later in a 3-2 win over Mirassol. During his time at Palmeiras, he accumulated 96 first-team appearances and contributed to 21 goals across all competitions.

In a statement following the transfer, Allan described joining Manchester City as a significant milestone. He praised the club’s achievements over the past 15 years and expressed confidence that City offers the ideal environment to advance his development. “This is a surreal moment for me,” Allan said. “Manchester City, with everything they have won over the past 15 years, are one of the most attractive clubs in the world. To be able to sit here today and say I have joined them is the proudest moment of my life.”

Though he emphasized his affection for Palmeiras, Allan said the decision to move to England was straightforward. He cited conversations with City’s staff as instrumental in his choice, highlighting their commitment to helping him reach his full potential.

Manchester City have consistently sought to strengthen their squad with young, versatile talent, and Allan’s arrival fits into this strategy as they prepare for upcoming domestic and international competitions.
