Everton manager David Moyes addressed the transfer speculation, acknowledging rumors but emphasizing that not all circulating reports are accurate. "A lot of stuff that floats around is not always true," he said. "Maybe this is true — but certainly, the stuff previous wasn’t."

City’s head coach Enzo Maresca sees Ndiaye’s skills, particularly his dribbling and ability to carry the ball forward, as assets that would enhance the team’s attacking options. The Dutch attacker, 27, who has won the Premier League and the League Cup during his three seasons at Anfield, may become available once Liverpool complete the signing of Paris Saint-Germain’s Bradley Barcola.

Liverpool have been engaged in a lengthy transfer effort to acquire the 23-year-old Barcola, a two-time UEFA Champions League winner. Once the Barcola deal is finalized, Gakpo is expected to be deemed surplus to requirements. The club is reportedly seeking a fee exceeding £65 million for the winger.
