A manhunt is underway in London following the escape of a prisoner from a medical facility in Lewisham, south-east London. The Metropolitan Police reported that Anthony Lloyd, 38, was last seen at approximately 4:10 p.m. on Friday after forcibly leaving the unit.

Authorities described Lloyd as a white male, roughly 5 feet 8 inches tall, of medium build, with short dark hair. At the time of his escape, he was wearing a grey-blue T-shirt, black tracksuit bottoms, and white trainers.

Police have urged the public not to approach Lloyd and are actively conducting extensive inquiries to locate and return him to custody. Detective Superintendent Melanie Pressley emphasized the seriousness of the search efforts as officers continue to follow up on leads.
