Huawei has unveiled its latest smartwatch, the HUAWEI WATCH GT 7 Pro, designed with features tailored for skiing and snowboarding enthusiasts. The new wearable offers a range of specialized tracking capabilities that automatically detect snow sports activities and provide users with detailed performance data.

The watch captures subtle movements such as posture shifts, wrist turns, and G-force to monitor key metrics including average incline, total descent, and the number of runs completed during a session. In addition to tracking on-piste activity, the device supports off-piste adventures by allowing users to download maps of more than 3,000 ski resorts globally through the HUAWEI Health app, which can then be synced directly to the watch. These maps help users assess trail difficulty, aiding beginners in navigating slopes safely while enabling experienced skiers to plan routes and analyze performance on specific runs.

The GT 7 Pro’s snow sports functionality extends to indoor skiing facilities as well, offering tracking capabilities regardless of outdoor conditions. Beyond winter sports, the device includes additional workout modes such as outdoor cycling, golf tracking, and precision running metrics.

The smartwatch also integrates health monitoring features, providing a daily physical readiness score intended to guide users on how intensely to exercise each day. Its build emphasizes durability, with a combination of a nano-tech ceramic bezel, scratch-resistant finish, and titanium alloy components intended to withstand demanding environments.

Battery life remains a key highlight, with Huawei asserting the device can operate for up to 21 days on a single charge. Compatibility with both iPhone and Android smartphones makes the GT 7 Pro suitable for a wide range of users seeking flexibility in device pairing.

The HUAWEI WATCH GT 7 Pro is priced at £379.99, with the standard GT 7 model starting at £279.99.
