Scottish actor Martin Compston has spoken about his growing fondness for Las Vegas, a city he now calls home alongside his wife, actress Tianna Flynn, and their young son, Brodie. Flynn, a native of Las Vegas, has influenced the couple’s decision to settle in the Nevada city, where they are raising their family. Despite his attachment to his hometown of Greenock, Scotland, Compston said he has enjoyed discovering the diverse experiences Las Vegas offers.

Compston shared his enthusiasm for inviting his “Line of Duty” co-stars, including Adrian Dunbar and Vicky McClure, to visit Las Vegas. He mentioned plans to host a “Line of Duty” read-through in the city along with visits to various local bars and restaurants.

The actor is currently the star of a new Channel 4 travel documentary series titled *Living Las Vegas*, which sees him exploring the city’s famous attractions. Compston explained that one key factor in choosing the project was that it allowed him to remain close to his family without having to travel extensively. He noted his usual aversion to reality and panel shows, citing them as noisy and attention-seeking, but expressed a genuine appreciation for this format.

During the series, Compston experiences several highlights of Las Vegas, including a visit to a luxury hotel suite costing around £18,500 per night that features its own basketball court. He also operates the mechanisms behind the Bellagio’s iconic fountains, witnesses and helps document a British couple’s wedding at the Little White Wedding Chapel, ventures into the Grand Canyon, and shares a drink with Scottish drag queen Lawrence Chaney.

Although Greenock will always be home for Compston, he acknowledged the significant role Las Vegas has come to play in his life. He described the city as a source of excitement and interest, offering a contrast to his suburban lifestyle and routine family responsibilities. The show’s premiere is scheduled for September 24 at 10 p.m. on Channel 4.
