PT Bank Maybank Indonesia Tbk has officially commenced operations as an integrated financial group, consolidating its banking and financial services under a unified ecosystem. This development follows the completion of its acquisition of majority shares in three financial services companies: Maybank Sekuritas Indonesia, Maybank Asset Management, and Asuransi Etiqa Internasional Indonesia.

The bank’s president director, Steffano Ridwan, described the move as a significant milestone aimed at enhancing Maybank’s service capabilities across Indonesia. He emphasized that, through the integration, customers will gain access to a broader spectrum of financial solutions within one platform, spanning banking, investment, wealth management, insurance, and other non-bank financial services.

These acquisitions were approved by shareholders in June, enabling Maybank Indonesia to become the operational holding company for the Maybank Financial Conglomerate in the country. The integrated group now comprises Maybank Sekuritas Indonesia, Maybank Asset Management, Asuransi Etiqa, Maybank Finance, and Wahana Ottomitra Multiartha, in addition to Maybank Indonesia itself. This structure has received the endorsement of Indonesia’s Financial Services Authority.

Steffano highlighted that the integrated framework is expected to enhance synergies among the group’s entities, enabling them to optimise their individual strengths and expertise. This approach aims to deliver more comprehensive financial products and services, ultimately generating greater value for customers and stakeholders across Indonesia.
