MCE Holdings Bhd has secured new automotive contracts in both Malaysia and India, expanding its role in supplying electronic and mechatronic components to the automotive industry. According to a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the company’s wholly owned subsidiary, Multi-Code Electronics Industries (M) Bhd, along with its 60%-owned affiliate MCE Hengtuo Sdn Bhd, will supply components for a designated vehicle program under Proton, Malaysia’s national carmaker.
The supply agreement is scheduled to commence in the financial year ending July 31, 2028, and will continue for 84 months, contingent on Proton’s production timelines. Based on current projections of Proton’s production volumes, MCE anticipates generating approximately RM15.69 million in revenue throughout the contract period. The company also disclosed estimated investment expenditures of around RM197,000 related to the project.
In addition to its domestic contracts, MCE’s operations in India will be expanded through its 55%-owned subsidiary, MCE Abhishek K Auto Components Private Ltd. This subsidiary has secured a contract with Deva Autotronics Private Ltd to design and develop mechatronic components specifically for commercial vehicles in the Indian market.
These developments reflect MCE Holdings’ ongoing strategy to deepen its involvement in the automotive supply chain across Southeast Asia, leveraging its technical capabilities in electronics and mechatronics to support vehicle manufacturers both in Malaysia and India.
