The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) in Qatar has initiated the 2026 Digital Inclusion Survey, targeting citizens and residents to evaluate the current state of digital inclusion across the country. This initiative forms part of the ministry’s ongoing efforts to build on the findings of the inaugural Qatar Digital Inclusion Index Report released in 2024.
The survey seeks to collect information on individuals’ access to and use of digital services and technologies, with the aim of creating a comprehensive, updated overview of digital inclusion in Qatar. The insights gained are intended to identify gaps and opportunities for enhancing the accessibility, quality, and inclusiveness of digital services.
MCIT has emphasized its commitment to protecting respondents’ privacy, ensuring that all answers will be handled anonymously and confidentially. The collected data will be used exclusively to support improvements in digital services and contribute to the development of the Qatar Digital Inclusion Index Report 2026, which is anticipated to be published later this year.
To maximize participation, the survey will be promoted through MCIT’s official communication platforms, SMS invitations, and coordinated awareness campaigns involving relevant government entities. In addition to the survey, targeted face-to-face interviews will be conducted with selected community groups and stakeholders to capture qualitative perspectives that reflect the diverse experiences and needs of different segments of society.
Together, the quantitative and qualitative findings will inform a comprehensive report designed to guide future policy and initiatives aimed at advancing digital inclusion in Qatar. The ministry highlighted that such efforts are vital to ensuring that digital services continue to adapt and serve the evolving demands of the population.
MCIT has expressed its gratitude to all citizens and residents who contribute to the survey, recognizing that their participation is instrumental in supporting national goals to promote digital inclusion and improve the overall digital experience across the country.
