The funding also includes provisions for non-Muslim places of worship and facilities in urgent need of renovation, with many projects poised for immediate commencement.

Of the total funding, RM32.8 million has been allocated to the National Solid Waste Management Department for the construction of additional cells at the Sungai Udang waste disposal site. Syarikat Perumahan Negara Bhd will receive RM29.6 million to build 390 Rumah Mesra Rakyat homes slated for completion within the year.

The Local Government Department will receive RM24.9 million dedicated to upgrading public amenities. These projects include improvements to Melaka Sentral’s wholesale market, the new Jasin market, Madani food stalls, slope repairs, and public toilet refurbishments under the Bersih, Menawan dan Wangi (BMW) initiative.

For housing developments, RM10 million has been allocated for the first phase of PR1MA Padang Temu, while RM8.5 million will fund People’s Residency Programme projects in Klebang, Bukit Katil, and Paya Rumput. Maintenance across 28 housing schemes is allotted RM5.8 million, and RM4 million will be used for repairs on 125 urban homes and the construction of 11 new houses.

The state maintenance fund for non-Muslim places of worship will receive RM5.4 million to support upkeep across 35 sites. The National Landscape Department has been granted RM2 million to upgrade public parks, and RM877,000 will be used to refurbish the Melaka Fire and Rescue Department’s Jalan Kubu station.

Additionally, RM745,000 will be dedicated to development projects in six local new villages in the state.
