MES Indian School in Qatar has been awarded the "My White Flag" for the third consecutive year, recognizing its consistent record of zero violations during the 2025–26 academic year. The award, presented by the Department of Private Schools and Kindergartens under Qatar’s Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MoEHE), highlights the school's adherence to regulatory standards and its commitment to effective educational governance.
MES Indian School, ranked among Qatar’s top five educational institutions and the only Indian school on that list, received the award on October 14. The ceremony was attended by senior officials from the school, including senior vice-president Kashif Jaleel, treasurer A T Usman, and principal Dr Hameeda Kadar. The honour was conferred by Dr Rania Mohammed, director of the Department of Private Schools and Kindergartens and acting director of the Private School Licensing Department.
The evaluation process for the "My White Flag" award involves comprehensive field inspections conducted by MoEHE officials. Key focus areas include the school’s academic plans and policies, administrative practices, and compliance with mandatory subjects such as Qatar History, Arabic, and Islamic Studies. Inspectors also assess security protocols, facility maintenance, staff management, behaviour management, transport oversight, and the provision of support for students with learning difficulties. Additional criteria cover cleanliness, complaint handling procedures, adherence to the ministry’s code of ethics, and awareness programmes directed at parents, staff, and students.
School leadership expressed pride in receiving the award, crediting the achievement to the collective efforts of staff, management, and the broader school community. Dr Kadar acknowledged the support and strategic guidance provided by the school administration and highlighted the role of parents’ cooperation and partnership in maintaining high standards. She emphasized that the "My White Flag" initiative aims to create a safe and disciplined educational environment that guarantees quality learning experiences for all students.
This recognition reinforces MES Indian School’s longstanding dedication to institutional accountability and upholding exemplary educational standards in Qatar.
