The Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association (MIAA) has commenced its spring high school sports tournament season, with competitions underway in baseball, boys’ lacrosse, softball, tennis, volleyball, and track across Divisions 1 through 5.

In baseball, several notable outcomes occurred during first-round play. Bishop Feehan secured an 8-0 victory over Andover, while North Attleboro defeated Marshfield 8-2. St. John’s of Shrewsbury recorded a dominant 20-0 win over Diman. These early results set the stage for advancing teams aiming for deeper postseason runs.

Boys’ lacrosse also saw decisive contests, highlighted by North Andover’s 8-5 triumph over Hopkinton in a first-round matchup. Meanwhile, in softball, Attleboro posted a commanding 20-6 victory against Weymouth in Division 1’s opening round, signaling their strong offensive presence in the tournament.
