The Michael Jackson tribute show, This Is Michael, is set to return to Abu Dhabi’s Etihad Arena on Yas Island on January 30, 2027. The announcement comes following the production’s successful debut at the same venue on August 22 of this year.
Organizers noted the decision to bring the show back was in response to strong audience demand, posting on social media that they had "heard" fans’ requests for additional performances. Currently, only one date has been confirmed for the 2027 engagement.
This Is Michael is a live concert-style production that pays tribute to the music and legacy of the late pop icon, Michael Jackson. The show features Brazilian performer Lenny Jay, who portrays Jackson, garnering attention for his vocal and physical resemblance to the singer. Jay’s performance is central to the production, aiming to capture the essence of Jackson’s stage presence.
Tickets for the January event will go on general sale starting Monday, November 2, via the Etihad Arena’s official website. Mastercard cardholders are offered early access to tickets through a presale beginning today at noon.
The production’s return adds to Abu Dhabi’s growing calendar of entertainment offerings, reinforcing the city’s status as a regional hub for live performances and international acts.
