Michael Theo, known to audiences from the series "Love on the Spectrum," shared insights into his personal life and future ambitions in a recent interview. Although he did not find a romantic partner during the filming of the show, he revealed that he was in a relationship for 18 months, ending in April of this year. He described the experience of being a boyfriend as rewarding, highlighting the value of commitment and affection.
In discussing his dedication to relationships, Theo recounted an instance where he flew from Sydney to Perth purely for a date, demonstrating his willingness to go great lengths for meaningful connections. While the immediate outcome was not romantic, it resulted in a lasting platonic relationship.
Theo is currently involved in the television series "Austin," where he had the opportunity to meet actress and singer Billie Piper. He expressed admiration for Piper’s music, especially the song "Day and Night," and praised her work in "Doctor Who," even though he is not a regular viewer of the series. He also confirmed that he stayed with actress Sally Phillips during filming in the United Kingdom and rated her hosting skills highly, giving her a 9.5 out of 10.
When reflecting on his interactions with fans, Theo emphasized their importance in his career, stating that he values giving fans time and is happy to take selfies to brighten their day. He noted that he does not have any nemeses but would entertain the idea for novelty, mainly for the playful challenge of banter rather than rivalry.
Theo also outlined his ideal fantasy dinner party guest list, which includes a diverse mix of voice actors such as Daws Butler and Mel Blanc, comedians, and actors from popular television series including the casts of "Modern Family," "Parks and Recreation," and "Brooklyn Nine-Nine." He also named several well-known figures from film and sports, with a Mediterranean-style menu likely prepared with help from his mother.
In addition to his television work, Theo recently published a children’s book titled *Edward’s Astonishing Animals*. He expressed particular fondness for the picture book *Go to Sleep, Anxiety!*, which addresses emotional wellbeing—a topic he relates to personally. Theo shared that managing anxiety is an ongoing process for him, supported by practices such as listening to music, watching television, drinking water, and collecting soft toys, notably Squishmallows, of which he owns more than 60.
Looking ahead, Theo revealed his interest in participating in the reality competition "Dancing with the Stars," expressing a particular enjoyment of ballroom dancing and imagining himself performing in formal attire, possibly with a top hat, which he owns and has worn previously.
