Birstall United advanced to the second round of the FA Vase for the first time this century following a 5-2 victory over Bewdley Town in a Division One fixture on Saturday. Aidan Neal played a pivotal role for Birstall, scoring a hat-trick that included goals just before and after halftime, as well as a strike on the hour mark. Runcorn Town, currently second in the Premier Division, recorded a 3-0 away win at Stockport Georgians, with goals from Emmanuel Sholabi, Connor Spiers, and Luke Nicholls. Dudley Town’s Ryan Snape scored twice to help his side come from behind and secure a 2-2 draw at Wythenshawe Town.

Darlaston Town began their campaign under new manager Matty Lovatt with a 2-0 victory against Romulus. In Division One, Gornal Athletic extended their lead at the top of the table to four points after a 4-0 win at Birmingham OJM.
