MIE-SPPU Institute of Higher Education hosted an exhibition titled “Global Heritage: India & the World” on October 15, 2026, showcasing cultural diversity through an array of student-created models and posters. The event was organised by the Department of Management Sciences and the Department of Commerce, transforming the campus into an interactive platform for intercultural exchange and learning.

Students from a range of nationalities—including India, Algeria, Sudan, Qatar, Pakistan, and the Philippines—participated by presenting visual displays that celebrated their distinct cultural traditions. Exhibits featured traditional attire, cuisine, monuments, languages, festivals, folk dance forms, handicrafts, notable historical figures, and prominent tourism sites, underscoring the rich cultural tapestries represented at the institution.

The exhibition was inaugurated by Rakesh Wagh, Head of School Activities and Education at the Indian Cultural Center in Qatar, who served as the Guest of Honour. He was accompanied by top officials of MIE-SPPU, including Yasir Nainar, the institution’s president; Professor Dr. Aftab Anwar Shaikh, Director of Academic Affairs; Dr. Pranav Raj, Academic Coordinator; and Dr. Sabiha Fazalbhoy, Head of the Department of Management Sciences.

Coordinated by Dr. Heena Mulaani, the event emphasized experiential learning by encouraging students to engage in in-depth research and creatively present their cultural findings. This process aimed to enhance competencies such as communication, teamwork, creativity, and public speaking.

The exhibition was jointly organised under the leadership of Dr. Sabiha Fazalbhoy and Dr. Saidia Jeelani. The initiative reflects MIE-SPPU's dedication to fostering student-centred education, promoting intercultural understanding, and encouraging global citizenship among its student body.
