New England Revolution secured a 4-2 victory over Orlando City SC on Saturday at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts, marking their third consecutive win and solidifying their position in the Eastern Conference standings. Peyton Miller and Carles Gil each scored twice, playing pivotal roles in the comeback triumph.
The match saw New England take an early lead when Gil scored in the 19th minute with a shot that deflected over Orlando goalkeeper Maxime Crépeau. Miller later extended the lead in the 59th minute with a breakaway goal, giving the Revolution a 2-0 advantage. However, Orlando mounted a response, with Iván Angulo scoring his third consecutive MLS goal, set up by Martín Ojeda. Ojeda then converted a penalty in the 88th minute after a handball by Miller in the penalty area, leveling the score at 2-2 late in regulation.
Despite the setback, New England regained the lead in stoppage time. In the 93rd minute, Ilay Feingold delivered a precise through ball to Miller, who calmly finished from the right side of the box. Just three minutes later, Gil added an insurance goal to secure the win. The final score reflected New England’s ability to respond under pressure and highlight Miller’s continued scoring form—his third goal in two matches—including the decisive strike in the previous game against Chicago Fire.
New England outshot Orlando 16 to 7 overall, with an advantage in shots on target and possession, which was recorded at 55 percent. The Revolution also earned 10 corner kicks compared to Orlando’s two, exerting significant control throughout the match. Dor Turgeman contributed two assists, extending his team lead in MLS assists to seven this season.
For Orlando, the loss ended a three-game winning streak. While the Lions created several scoring opportunities—including chances in the 22nd and 28th minutes that were denied by New England goalkeeper Matt Turner—their efforts were not enough to overcome the late surge. Ivan Angulo and Martín Ojeda accounted for Orlando’s goals.
Following the victory, New England improved to 14-8-4, reaching 46 points in the Eastern Conference, which puts them one point ahead of Inter Miami, though Miami has one game in hand.
