Australian rider Jack Miller will conclude his MotoGP career at the end of the 2026 season following the announcement by Pramac Yamaha that they will not be renewing his contract. The Tuscany-based team revealed on Friday that Miller’s seat will be taken by their Moto2 rider Izan Guevara, signaling a shift in the team’s lineup for the upcoming season.
Miller, 31, currently ranks 19th in this year’s standings with 23 points, having recorded his best finish of eighth place at the Hungarian Grand Prix. Over his MotoGP tenure, he accumulated four race victories, 23 podium finishes, and two pole positions. Miller joined Pramac in 2025 after previously racing for Ducati.
Addressing the transition, Miller expressed confidence in his ongoing abilities and enthusiasm for the future. “I still believe I have more to offer and more to achieve, and I'll take that motivation with me into whatever comes next,” he said. He indicated that he is likely to continue his racing career with Yamaha’s Superbike team but emphasized that his full attention remains on completing the current season strongly. The next race on the calendar is this weekend’s Grand Prix of Aragon, where Miller aims to continue contributing to Pramac’s performance.
Yamaha’s team principal, Paolo Pavese, praised Miller not only for his performance on the track but also for his positive influence within the team. “Jack brought tremendous energy to our team,” Pavese remarked. “His positive attitude, spirit and ability to build strong relationships in the garage made him a pleasure to work with.”
Looking ahead, Pramac Yamaha will turn to 22-year-old Spanish rider Izan Guevara to fill Miller’s place. Guevara, who secured the Moto3 world championship in 2022, has impressed team officials with his progress in Moto2. Pavese highlighted Guevara’s potential and readiness for the premier class, citing his speed, consistency, and commitment to improvement. “It is exciting for Yamaha to welcome such a talented young rider into our MotoGP project,” Pavese added.
Guevara will join forces with Toprak Razgatlioglu as Pramac’s riders for the next MotoGP season, marking a new chapter for the team as they balance experience and emerging talent on the grid.
