HE the Minister of Municipality, Abdullah bin Hamad bin Abdullah al-Attiyah, met with Bouke Arends, mayor of the Westland municipality in the Netherlands, to discuss collaboration in agricultural innovation and technology. The meeting took place during the minister’s visit to the Netherlands.

The discussions focused on enhancing cooperation in modern agriculture, including the development and application of advanced agricultural technologies. Both officials explored opportunities for partnership, knowledge exchange, and joint efforts aimed at promoting sustainable agricultural development and improving food security.

They also reviewed best practices and successful models in the agricultural sector, with particular attention to Westland’s status as one of the Netherlands’ premier agricultural regions. Westland is internationally recognized for its cutting-edge greenhouse technologies and protected cultivation systems, serving as a global benchmark for innovative and sustainable agricultural production.
