HE the Minister of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dr Mohammed bin Abdulaziz bin Saleh al-Khulaifi, held several bilateral meetings on the sidelines of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA81) on September 26.
Dr al-Khulaifi met separately with key international officials, including Venezuela’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Felix Plasencia; Therese Kayikwamba Wagner, Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Francophonie of the Democratic Republic of the Congo; Spain’s State Secretary for Foreign and Global Affairs Diego Martinez Belo; US Deputy Secretary of State Christopher Landau; Mas-sad Boulos, Presidential Envoy and Senior Adviser for Africa at the US Department of State; and US Assistant Secretary of State for Western Hemisphere Affairs Juan Segura.
The meetings focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation, enhancing diplomatic relations, and exploring avenues to support mutual interests. Discussions also addressed recent developments in regional affairs alongside broader issues of common concern shared by Qatar and the respective countries.
These engagements took place during a busy period at UNGA81, where international diplomacy is heightened, allowing officials to advance dialogue and collaboration across various domains. The meetings underscore Qatar’s ongoing efforts to foster strong partnerships and contribute to global diplomatic initiatives.
