Qatar’s Minister of Interior and Commander of the Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya), Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani, met with General Hubert Bonneau, director-general of the French National Gendarmerie, in France to discuss strengthening bilateral security cooperation. The discussions centered on expanding collaboration in areas including expertise exchange, security training, and operational coordination.

This meeting builds on a partnership that has been in place for over two decades, reflecting a longstanding relationship between Lekhwiya and the French National Gendarmerie. Both parties emphasized the importance of enhancing mutual capabilities to address evolving security challenges.

The talks illustrate Qatar’s ongoing efforts to reinforce its internal security framework by leveraging international partnerships.
