Qatar’s Minister of Justice and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs, Ibrahim bin Ali al-Mohannadi, met with Somalia’s Minister of Justice and Constitutional Affairs, Hassan Moalim Mohamud Sheikh Ali, in Doha on Monday to discuss bilateral legal cooperation. The meeting focused on strengthening ties between the two countries in the field of justice and exploring opportunities to expand collaborative efforts.
Key topics included enhancing cooperation between Qatar’s Centre for Legal and Judicial Studies and Somalia’s Judicial Training Institute. Both ministers reviewed the potential for joint initiatives aimed at capacity building and professional development within their respective judicial systems.
The discussions also covered the revival of a previously established memorandum of understanding on legal cooperation between Qatar and Somalia. Officials emphasized the importance of deepening institutional contacts to facilitate more effective legal and judicial exchanges.
