Qatar’s Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, HE Sultan bin Saad Al Muraikhi, and Singapore’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Vivian Balakrishnan, co-chaired a meeting of the implementation monitoring mechanism of the High-Level Joint Committee between their countries on Wednesday in Doha. The session focused on reviewing bilateral cooperation, exploring opportunities for further development, and evaluating the progress of previously agreed initiatives.

The officials expressed satisfaction with the advancements made in various sectors of cooperation between Qatar and Singapore. Discussions highlighted the importance of sustained collaboration and emphasized continued diplomatic engagement backed by technical working committees to ensure the effective execution of joint projects and initiatives.

Both parties committed to maintaining momentum by closely following up on the outcomes agreed upon during the third meeting of the implementation monitoring mechanism. They also scheduled the fourth session of the committee to take place in Singapore in 2027, aiming to build on the progress achieved and deepen ties across political, economic, and other strategic areas.

The meeting underscores Qatar and Singapore’s mutual interest in enhancing their partnership through structured dialogue and coordinated efforts, aligned with their broader foreign policy objectives.
