Kuwait’s Minister of State for Development and Sustainability Affairs, Dr. Reem Al-Al-Fulaij, has referred several supervisory officials at the Public Authority for Agricultural Affairs and Fish Resources (PAAAFR) to the Public Prosecution over alleged forgery and manipulation of attendance and departure records. The move was announced on June 25 as part of the ministry’s effort to strengthen institutional integrity and promote governance, transparency, and accountability within the authority.

According to Dr. Al-Al-Fulaij, the decision to initiate legal proceedings followed an internal investigation that uncovered indicators and documented evidence of irregularities in attendance records. The report was submitted to the appropriate judicial authorities for further investigation and legal action. The minister emphasized the importance of maintaining the integrity of the legal process and ensuring impartial and thorough investigations free from external influence.

As a precautionary measure, three supervisory employees implicated in the case have been suspended from their duties for three months while the prosecution’s inquiries are underway. The ministry did not specify the names or exact positions of the officials involved.

It underscored its zero-tolerance policy for any behavior that compromises institutional integrity or amounts to negligence in public service.
