Comprising 10 core standards and related sub-standards, the program addresses knowledge of learners and content, instructional methods, and professional duties. It incorporates a blend of theoretical and practical training, with 45 percent dedicated to classroom-based theoretical instruction and 55 percent allocated to field training in educational settings.

Trainees are required to achieve a minimum score of 75 percent to successfully complete the program and receive the necessary qualification to teach. Those who do not meet the passing score will be appointed to administrative roles appropriate to their academic background in education.
