KUWAIT CITY — The Ministry of Education has officially concluded its summer educational and cultural courses, serving 6,554 students in Grades One through Nine across 12 centers. These programs were part of the ministry’s preparations for the upcoming 2026/2027 academic year.

In a statement issued on August 29, the ministry highlighted the involvement of 338 teaching and administrative staff members who helped implement and organize the courses during the summer break. The programs, offered free of charge, focused on Arabic, English, and Mathematics with the goal of enhancing fundamental skills and addressing students’ academic challenges.

Designed under the supervision of the technical guidance departments, the courses utilized interactive teaching methods that emphasized active and enjoyable learning experiences. They operated alongside school summer clubs, allowing participants to combine academic enrichment with various extracurricular activities and hobbies.

Earlier in August, Minister of Education Sayed Jalal Al-Tabtabaie directed an extension of the clubs’ operations by one week, extending the courses until August 27. This decision aimed to provide students additional time to benefit from the offerings.

The ministry also noted that both student and staff registration was conducted online to simplify enrollment and improve administrative efficiency at the centers. Feedback from parents was positive, with many commending the initiative for effectively utilizing the summer vacation to reinforce students’ academic skills and promote productive engagement outside the regular school calendar.
