The Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy in Kuwait announced its training program for the 2026/2027 season, aimed at enhancing the skills and capabilities of the national workforce. The initiative is part of the Civil Service Commission’s (CSC) ongoing efforts to implement its annual plan focused on workforce development.
In a circular issued by Ali Shaaban, acting Assistant Undersecretary for Planning, Training and Information Systems, the ministry outlined that the training sessions are tailored primarily for senior staff members. The curriculum includes a range of workshops addressing leadership strategies in project management, the use of key performance indicators (KPIs), media preparedness for leadership roles and direct communications, risk management, the future of government work, smart commands for artificial intelligence applications, and leadership development in legal oversight.
The ministry emphasized that all departments must strictly follow established nomination procedures to participate. Nominations require submission of a completed form along with an official letter from the Administrative Development and Training Department via the Workflow system to complete registration.
In addition to the training program, the ministry disclosed plans to issue a tender related to its current-year contracts. The tender involves the installation and supply of four high-voltage main substations, along with feeders and related accessories, to support the expansion of Wafra agricultural farms. The project is intended to accommodate increasing energy demands and foster agricultural growth in the region.
This tender will be conducted through the Central Agency for Public Tenders (CAPT) in line with applicable regulatory frameworks. The ministry’s announcement highlights its dual focus on building human capital and advancing infrastructure development to support Kuwait’s evolving energy and agricultural sectors.
