The Secretary-General of Qatar’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Ahmed bin Hassan al-Hammadi, met on September 1 with the ambassadors of Turkiye and Cyprus to Qatar as they concluded their respective tenures. During separate meetings, Dr. al-Hammadi expressed appreciation for the ambassadors’ contributions to enhancing bilateral relations between their countries and Qatar.
Dr. al-Hammadi thanked Turkiye’s ambassador, Dr. Mustafa Goksu, recognizing his efforts in supporting the development of diplomatic and cooperative ties throughout his assignment. He also wished Dr. Goksu success in his future roles following the completion of his tenure.
Similarly, Cyprus’s ambassador to Qatar, Andreas Nikolaides, was acknowledged by Dr. al-Hammadi for his dedication to strengthening the partnership between Cyprus and Qatar. The Secretary-General conveyed his gratitude for Nikolaides’s service and extended best wishes for his continued accomplishments beyond his time in Qatar.
These meetings underscore Qatar’s ongoing commitment to maintaining and advancing diplomatic relations with both Turkiye and Cyprus as the ambassadors transition to new assignments.
