Qatar’s Ministry of Interior hosted a delegation from Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Interior to enhance bilateral security cooperation and facilitate the exchange of expertise between the two countries. The visit took place in Doha and involved senior officials from various security and specialised departments.

The Saudi delegation was led by Major-General Dr. Ibrahim Satam Al Anzi, who serves as the director-general of the General Department of Legal Affairs within Saudi Arabia’s General Directorate of Public Security. During their visit, the delegation conducted a series of tours across key Qatari security institutions.

These included the Correctional Institutions Department, the Judgments Enforcement Department, the Police Academy, the Juvenile Police Department, the Police Rescue Department—also known as Al Fazaa—and the Capital Security Department. The delegation’s itinerary was focused on reviewing best practices and sharing knowledge across a range of security and policing sectors.

The visit represents part of ongoing efforts between Qatar and Saudi Arabia to deepen cooperation in managing internal security challenges and improving operational effectiveness within their respective law enforcement agencies. Both countries have emphasised the importance of mutual collaboration in maintaining public safety and addressing emerging security issues in the region.
