KUWAIT CITY — The Ministry of Public Works has launched a new initiative called "Bader," aimed at strengthening corporate governance and boosting the efficiency of government services. The program was introduced on May 17 under the patronage of Minister of Public Works Dr. Noura Al-Mashaan.

The Bader initiative is designed to encourage ministry employees to submit development ideas and proposals that contribute to enhancing corporate governance practices and fostering a more competitive and effective work environment. Officials emphasized that the program aligns with broader ministry objectives of empowering national talent and improving institutional performance.

During the launch event, the ministry's corporate governance team presented Dr. Al-Mashaan with a commemorative shield recognizing the ministry’s attainment of the Bronze Level in the "Adaa" project. This accreditation was awarded by the Kuwait Anti-Corruption Authority (Nazaha) as part of its efforts to promote transparency and anti-corruption measures within government entities.

Dr. Al-Mashaan highlighted the importance of the corporate governance team’s role in elevating performance standards and advancing transparency within the ministry. She praised their ongoing commitment to improving governance processes that support accountability and effective service delivery.

In a related development, the Central Agency for Public Tenders (CAPT) has announced the postponement of two tenders related to sand removal from highways in both the southern and northern regions of Kuwait. These tenders, originally issued on behalf of the Ministry of Public Works, have been delayed until May 31, though no detailed reasons for the postponement were provided.
